Our mobile on-deck lab shows off the first Android on-deck application.
Pixl8r, Ericsson's cross mobile operator platform for social gathering and cross network backend communicaton, has evolved so much that it was time to demonstrate one of the first 3pp applications for it - Pixlm8.
Google Android native application does what it is expected of it, with some black magic, some candy stuff = all as a result of sweat and tears from our on-deck lab:
- our own vision of active address-book, with direct call, send SMS and send pixl8r message functionality
- activity log of your pixl8tr friends, that is also hooked to their social networks: Facebook, Flickr, Friendster, Twitter, Koornk and YouTube
- gallery on-deck access, direct upload to pixl8r and other supported social networks (mentioned above)
- direct access of phones camera for one click upload. Ok, 2 click :).
Where is the magic? Everywhere. Where is the candy? In the caching.
